A bit about the youth...
Camping Club Juniors (CCJ) is a section for 8 - 11 year old children that enjoy camping and would like to meet children of their own age. They are offered the chance to camp in their own area and the opportunity to mix with CCY members, building up confidence and a chance to develop camping skills. During the year the CCJ leaders will arrange activities for the CCJ members.
Please remember that the CCJ is not a child minding service!
Membership of the CCJ is FREE!
Camping Club Youth (CCY) is a group within the Camping Club dedicated to the 12 - 18 year olds (up to 21 years if passed the CCY Test).
At the majority of weekend camping meets the youth leaders will organise a CCY only area where the youth camp together.
There are two other meets that the youth can attend, the National Meet and the International Meet. Each Region takes it in turn to organise the National Meet. At this meet Central Counties compete against other regions in 5 aside football, volleyball, netball and fun sports. The International Meet is held at Easter in a different country each year. The only restriction is that youth have to be over 14years of age and must have passed the CCY test.
Important Notice to Parents:
All Youth Leaders, assistants and tester are all accredited by the Camping and Caravanning Club and have been vetted through the criminal records bureau (DBS).
They must also carry Camping & Caravanning Club endorsed photo identification.
Please note the CCY area is not a baby sitting service and must not be treated as so, the youth leaders are there to guide the youth members where possible and assist in there camping experience.
